did you just change the extractor, or try a larger detent ball as well?

Changed them both out with parts from SSS. Did not even get to 40 rounds with the last set. 2 of 3 now dropping on the follower. Extendet the ejector - nada. Will never make another wtf on a savage action again.

Can you see any difference to the parts after a few rounds?
have you thought about changing bolt heads?

Update: Called SSS and ordered his new button head ejector and spring. IT WORKS!!!! Took the single shot follower out and now have a reliable repeater again. It was worth every penny.....
